I have never put a ceili band on this site before, but this is a special case!
Some years back, Denis Liddy, the fiddle player who just released the CD "WAIFS AND STRAYS" took a bunch of 8-year-olds in his
classroom and started them on whistles for the Christmas concert. Time passed and many moved on to different instruments
but they continued to play together...soon they started winning "All-Ireland Competitions" (1998, 2000, and 2001),
making recordings and touring all over including
Spain, Ireland, and North America.
Their teacher writes:
The tunes come from our predecessors and have been handed down to us over generations of house dances and sessions. Our aim is to nurture and
cherish this beloved heritage.

Gerry Diver
