Paddy Killoran

Paddy Killoran, one of the best-known figures associated with Sligo music
was born near Ballymote in 1904. Most of his life was spent int America where he made
numerous 78-Disc recordings. He is joined on this recording by Eleanor Neary,
probably the finest piano player of her generation. She was born in Chicago and was
married to Jim Neary, a Mayo Man and a fine fiddle player. Eleanor played with all of
the major figures in Sligo music active in the American music scene of the 20th century.
